A solid silver antique Boatswain's call / Bosuns whistle.
The barrel shaped buoy is embossed with the fouled anchor and the gun has four, triple banding decoration.
The keel has an intricate scroll work design and pattern. multiple hallmarks present and made by Hillard & Thomason, Birmingham, Circa 1860. Complete with chain lanyard.
