Antique sextant by B. Cooke & Sons, Hull.

A late 19th / early 20th Century navigators Sextant with the classic three ring design frame. Beautifully hand engraved on the arc B. Cooke & Son, Hull.

The silver scale is engraved from -5  degrees to 155 degrees and can measure angles to 128 degrees, it is divided into 10 minute increments. The index arm has swinging scale magnifier, the silver Vernier scale reads from 0 to 10 seconds of arc.

This Sextant has a 6 inch radius.

Box measures W 25 / D 24.5 / H 12.5 cm

This antique Sextant is in excellent condition. It is contained within its original fitted hardwood box with carry handle and Baize lined. The Sextant is complete with three telescopes, eyepiece sun filter and mirror adjusting tool.
