Antique Trinity House Lighthouse keepers signal lantern.

A complete and original lighthouse keepers signal lamp, constructed from brass with thick glass bullseye lens. Original internal light shutter mechanism with reflector. The original candle holder is missing.

Swing carry handle with wooden bail, rear mounted handle, side mounted light shutter lever with finger brace below. Hinged top for access with locking thumb screw.

Sliding side inspection window to check the flame is still burning and the lamp is still emitting light.

Stamped: E.G. & S, (Eli Griffith & Sons, Birmingham) 1918.

Height to top of chimney 13.5 inches / 34cm Max height inc handle: 16.5 inches / 42cm.

This lantern can be supplied polished if required.
