ANTIQUE SHIP & YACHT LOGS

Welcome to our selection of antique ships logs.

Mechanical ship logs were invented in the eighteenth century and they were used to determine a vessels speed through the water and the distance run. If a navigator knows the course steered and the distance the ship has travelled through the water, a dead reckoning position can be plotted to determine the ships position.

Below is our selection of antique ship's logs.
