A 19th century shipping diorama of a sailing ship under full sail. This antique diorama is sailor made with carved wooden sails and painted backdrop. It depicts a three masted square rigged sailing ship / windjammer which has a barque rig.
The models details include: masts and spars with standing and running rigging. The square sails, headsails and staysails are all set, there is a pennant flag on the mainmast which reads BABTISTA. There is also a ships boat with two persons aboard in the foreground and a painted backdrop.
